Pamela started out her photography career at a weekly newspaper, in a darkroom! Yes, she actually shot 35mm film....then chrome....then medium format film....and then digital. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Communication and Journalism at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, she was a staff photojournalist at a daily newspaper for the next 7 years. This foundational experience photographing all kinds of things while working with a staff of 11 photojournalists developed her style of capturing authentic moments and in all types of situations; sports, news, portraits, and almost exclusively people. Marrying the newspaper's graphics editor landed her in Atlanta freelancing for the AJC before taking a position as Creative Services Staff Photographer at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, an opportunity that allowed her to capture real life moments in this superb hospital and also into a world of corporate photography. After starting her own Freelance Photography business while growing her family she delved into wedding and portrait photography and the lighting knowledge gained in this environment has benefited her clients and business. Pamela always strives to capture the authentic personality and essence of the person or event she is photographing. She is a friendly, happy professional, respectful of whoever and whatever is in front of her lens. A tried and true Nikon shooter, she'd love to talk with you about photographing your event or family, whether in the corporate field or in your backyard.
